Safeguarding our children is, by far, the most important aspect of our role at Old Town Primary, but our true purpose is ensuring that our children receive a well-rounded curriculum and achieve their potential. School and families work hard together to encourage the development of well-rounded individuals.
By the time they leave us, we want to ensure that our children are confident, compassionate, responsible and resilient. Our work reaches beyond the curriculum and into our pastoral support system, ensuring children develop character and values that will enable them to become net contributors to the local community and wider society. We have a genuine passion for the holistic development of children.
We champion emotional development, positive behaviour traits and forming a moral compass. Here at Old Town Primary everyone works together as a team to ensure we have a strong learning community. In fact, we like to think of our school as a big family where everyone involved with the school has an important part to play in supporting and encouraging each other. At Old Town, we value the partnership between home and school and we are proud of our "open door" policy where parents and guardians are welcome to visit our school and discuss any issue whenever necessary.
